Tuesday, October 9th - At app. 14:25, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR2235. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with Unit 501 and Unit 504, Tanker 51 with two firefighters, and Tanker 57 with Unit 506 and one firefighter,
Monday, October 8th - At app. 20:50, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire involving one of the own vehicles on SH321 app. one mile south of the fire station. VFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 51 with Unit 502 and three firefighters to find Squad 51 heavily involved. Liberty County Fire Marshall Jim Wilson was notified and determined the probable cause was a faulty cruise control switch.

Thursday, October 4th - At app. 19:45, TVFD was called to a report of a fuel spill at the Tarkington Exxon. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Booster 51 with Unit 506 and one firefighter, and Engine 52 with one firefighter.
Monday, October 1st - At app. 21:15, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on FM787 app. 1-1/2 miles east of FM223. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Engine 52 with Unit 505 and three firefighters, Squad 51 with Unit 504, Engine 51 with Unit 502 and three firefighters, and Booster 51 with Unit 506 and one firefighter to find a Chevrolet pickup and a Honda Civic involved in a head-on collision with both driver's sustaining serious injuries. North Liberty County VFD was also dispatched and arrived on location first, starting the extrication of the two victims. A LZ was set up adjacent to the accident scene and two PHI SkyMed helicopters landed. However, the driver of the Honda deteriorated before he could be loaded on the helicopter and died at the scene. Traffic on FM787 was shut down for over three hours as the accident was investigated and the scene cleared.

Wednesday, September 26th - At app. 15:05, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA involving two big rigs on SH105 near FM2518. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 505 and Engine 51 with Unit 506 and two firefighters to find a wheel had come off the trailer of an ammonia tanker, striking a dump truck in the front.
