Monday, October 24th- At app. 12:00 Tarkington VFD was dispatched to mutual aid North Liberty County VFD on a brush fire on FM787 near the Trinity River. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with one firefighter.
At app. 12:45, TVFD was dispatched to a MVA on CR 2285. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Engine 54 with one firefighter, Rescue 51 with one firefighter, and Booster 55 with one firefighter.

At app. 19:30, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a smoke alarm going off in a residence on CR2268. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with four firefighters to find the cause of the alarm to be smoke from cooking.
At app. 22:15, Tarkington firefighters were again dispatched to the location of the large fire on Sunday. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters to find the fire well within the containment lines.
Sunday, October 23rd- Tarkington firefighters were awakened early at app. 02:15 when they were dispatched back to the location of the Friday afternoon fire on FM1008. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Booster 55 with two firefighters to find the fire well within the containment lines.
At app. 13:30, TVFD was dispatched to a brush fire on CR2317. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters, Booster 53 with one firefighter, and Rescue 51 with two firefighters to find a small fire. Kenefick VFD was called for mutual aid and the Texas Forest Service was called to plow a containment line around the fire.
At app. 14:30, TVFD was dispatched to a brush fire on CR2307. TVFD initially responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with one firefighter due to the fact that all other units were on the CR2317 call. Booster 55 was soon released from the CR2317 call and sent to this fire.
At app. 14:45, TVFD was dispatched to a barn fire on CR2297. All Tarkington units were on other calls, so Cypress Lakes VFD and Cleveland VFD were called for mutual aid to respond to this call.
At app. 16:45, TVFD was dispatched to a brush fire on FM1008 across from CR2317. TVFD responded with Unit 509, Engine 54 with one firefighter, and Booster 55 with two firefighters. The fire quickly spread into the woods and mutual aid was requested from Kenefick VFD, Highway 321 VFD, Dayton VFD, and the Liberty County Wildland Task Force. The Texas Forest Service was called to plow a containment line around the fire. Eventually four dozers were dispatched to work on this fire. Liberty County Sheriff's Office deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were dispatched to aid in a possible to evacuation. This fire was a very dangerous, fast-moving fire that sent flames twenty to thirty feet into the air. The fire was finally contained around 22:00 after burning app. 200 acres. Saturday, October 22nd-At app. 18:30, TVFD was dispatched to mutual aid Cleveland VFD with a brush fire on FM787 app. 1/2 mile west of Doc Howard Road. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters.
