Sunday, February 18th - At app. 15:50, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to assist Liberty County Sheriff's Office and provide traffic control for a semi-truck blocking SH105 near FM2518. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Booster 55 with two firefighters.
At app. 16:35, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR2260. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with Unit 502 and one firefighter and Tanker 57 with Unit 504 and one firefighter to find app. 1/2 acre on fire. Cypress Lakes VFD also responded to the call.
At app. 20:10, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH105 at CR2268 in front of Tarkington Exxon. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Unit 502, Engine 54 with Unit 503 and three firefighters, and Rescue 51 with Unit 504 and two firefighters to find a single-vehicle rollover with two victims still trapped inside their car. TVFD used the vehicle extrication tools to cut the patients out of the car, which were then placed into a waiting City of Cleveland EMS ambulance and taken to an LZ at Tarkington High School set up by Engine 53 with three firefighters and Booster 55 with Unit 505 and one firefighter.


Friday, February 16th - At app. 10:00, Tarkington and Cleveland fire departments were dispatched to a report of a pipeline leak on CR3141. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters to find that the pipeline was being bled down for maintenance.
At app. 10:05, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on FM787 near FM2518. TVFD responded with Unit 593 and Engine 54 with two firefighters to find a single-vehicle rollover. The patient was transported to a Houston-area trauma center from a LZ set up at FM787 and FM2518.
At app. 18:25, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a structure fire in Sam Houston Lake Estates. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with three firefighters and Tanker 57 with two firefighters, but were disregarded prior to going on location.
At app. 20:45, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 app. two miles south of FM1008. TVFD responded with Unit 504, Engine 54 with four firefighters, and Rescue 51 with one firefighter.
Sunday, February 11th - At app. 18:10, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a hay barn on fire on CR2276. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Unit 501, Unit 592, Engine 54 with Unit 503 and three firefighters, Tanker 57 with two firefighters, Engine 53 with three firefighters, and Rescue 51 with two firefighters to find the barn fully involved. Mutual aid was requested for tanker support from both Cleveland and Kenefick VFDs. Since hay fires are nearly impossible to extinguish, the decision was made to extinguish the perimeter of the fire to prevent further spread and the fire was allowed to burn itself out.
