Tuesday, February 27th - At app. 16:10, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR3141 caused by burning leaves that had gotten out of control. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 53 with four firefighters to find the fire had already been extinguished by the homeowner.
Monday, February 26th - At app. 14:00, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 at CR314. TVFD responded with Rescue 51 with three firefighters.
At app. 19:50, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a fire at Cleveland Welding Supply on SH321. TVFD responded with Unit 593, Unit 502, Engine 54 with four firefighters, and Engine 53 with Unit 504 and three firefighters to find a small burn pile on fire behind the building.
Saturday, February 24th - At app. 9:10, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA on CR2252. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with three firefighters, Rescue 51 with Unit 505 and two firefighters, Unit 593, and Unit 502 to find a Ford Explorer overturned in the ditch.

Thursday, February 22nd - At app. 4:00, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to provide a tanker for mutual aid to North Liberty County VFD for a structure fire in New River Lake Estates. TVFD responded with Tanker 57 with two firefighters.
At app. 7:05, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 app. one mile south of FM1008. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with three firefighters and Rescue 51 with Unit 505 and two firefighters.
Wednesday, February 21st - At app. 16:50, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a fuel spill at the Tarkington Exxon on SH105 at CR2268. TVFD responded with Engine 53 with Unit 502 and three firefighters to find a small amount of fuel spilled.
At app. 19:40, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 at CR2243 (Doc Howard Road). TVFD responded with Unit 517, Unit 502, Engine 54 with Unit 503 and three firefighters, and Engine 53 with Unit 505 and two firefighters to find a two-vehicle accident with four patients, one of which was severely injured. TVFD assisted in removing the severely injured from the car and into a waiting City of Cleveland EMS ambulance, where he was then taken to the Cleveland PD helipad and placed on a LifeFlight helicopter. TVFD then stayed on scene for nearly two hours providing lighting for the investigation and controlling traffic.
